Privacy policy
This website works without cookies, trackers and external services. Here is which data we process on the website and in Nyteca® Chat, why and for how long.
Last updated: October 2026
1. Scope
In the event of any discrepancy, the German version prevails. This privacy policy applies to the website nyteca.ch and the contact channels connected with it, as well as to Nyteca® Chat (section 4.4). It follows the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO), in particular for visitors from the EEA.
This policy does not apply to the Nyteca® App (from mid-November 2026) at app.nyteca.ch. There, Tax AI AG processes personal data on behalf of the respective firm; the details are described on the page FADP & GDPR and in the data processing agreement with the firm.
2. Controller
Tax AI AG
Sihlbruggstrasse 105
6340 Baar, Schweiz
Email: kontakt@taxaiag.swiss
Contact person for data protection: to be added. Until then you can reach us for all data protection matters at kontakt@taxaiag.swiss.
Representative in the EU (Art. 27 DSGVO): to be added.
3. Principles
We only process personal data to the extent necessary for operating the website, providing Nyteca® Chat, answering your enquiries or sending the newsletter. We do not collect data as a precaution, do not sell data and do not use any advertising or analytics services.
4. Which data we process
4.1 Server logs
When this website is opened, the web server automatically stores technical access data: IP address, date and time, page requested, volume of data transferred, HTTP status code, referrer as well as browser and operating system (user agent).
- Purpose: technical operation, security (detecting and repelling attacks), error analysis.
- Legal basis: overriding legitimate interest (Art. 31 para. 1 DSG, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO).
- Retention: The logs are deleted or anonymised after a short time. The exact period will be added.
4.2 Contact, waiting list and offer requests
The waiting-list form on this website sends your details to our server; there they are stored and forwarded to us by email. If you write to us via a contact link, your mail program opens and the message reaches us as an ordinary email to kontakt@taxaiag.swiss. We process the details you provide with it (name, email address, details about your firm, content of your message) solely to answer your enquiry, to manage the waiting list for offerings not yet available (such as Nyteca® Chat in other countries, the Nyteca® App or Nyteca® Knowledge; we contact you personally as soon as the offering is available) and to prepare access, an offer or, for the Nyteca® App, a demo.
- Legal basis: pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO) or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 31 para. 1 DSG).
- Retention: as long as necessary for handling the enquiry and any contractual relationship; afterwards we delete the correspondence unless a statutory retention obligation applies.
4.3 Newsletter
You subscribe to the newsletter by email to kontakt@taxaiag.swiss. We store your email address and the time of subscription in order to send you product updates and specialist articles. You can unsubscribe at any time: by replying to a newsletter or by email to the same address. We then delete your address from the distribution list.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 31 para. 1 DSG, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO).
- Sending: currently directly via our mail server, without a newsletter service provider and without open or click tracking.
4.4 Nyteca® Chat
Draft. This section has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Open points are marked “to be added”.
When you use Nyteca® Chat, we process:
- account and contact data: name, email address, firm or company as well as contract and billing details;
- your questions and the history of your chats;
- files you upload, including the information they contain, also about third parties such as your clients;
- the answers and drafts Nyteca® Chat prepares for you, for example opinions and objections.
For personal data of third parties, such as your clients, contained in questions and uploads, your firm or company remains responsible; we process it on your behalf. Details are described on the page FADP & GDPR.
- Purpose: providing Nyteca® Chat (answering questions, analysing uploaded documents, preparing drafts), contract performance, support and security. We do not use questions, uploads or drafts to train AI models unless you have expressly consented.
- Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 31 para. 2 lit. a DSG, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO) and our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 31 para. 1 DSG, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO).
- Recipients: processors for hosting and AI processing who are contractually bound by our instructions. We name the providers in writing on request.
- Retention: the retention period for chat histories, uploaded files and drafts will be added.
- Transfer abroad: information on whether data from Nyteca® Chat is transferred abroad will be added. Any transfer only takes place under the conditions in section 7.
5. No cookies, no trackers, no external services
This website is deliberately built lean:
- It sets no cookies, neither technically necessary ones nor marketing cookies.
- No analytics, tracking or advertising services run on it, no pixels and no fingerprinting scripts.
- There are no social media plugins and no map or video embeds from third parties.
- Fonts (Inter) and scripts are served from our own server. No fonts are loaded from Google Fonts or other content delivery networks, and your IP address does not reach any third party when the page is opened.
For this reason there is also no cookie banner on this website: there is nothing for you to consent to.
6. Hosting
The website is operated at a hosting provider that processes the server logs mentioned in section 4.1 on our behalf. The provider and the location of the data centre will be added. We conclude a data processing agreement with the provider.
7. Disclosure to third parties and transfer abroad
We only disclose personal data if
- a processor handles it for us (hosting, mail server, AI processing for Nyteca® Chat) and is contractually bound by our instructions,
- we are legally obliged to do so or an authority lawfully orders it, or
- you have expressly consented.
A transfer abroad only takes place if the destination country guarantees adequate data protection (Art. 16 DSG, Art. 45 DSGVO) or if suitable safeguards such as standard contractual clauses are in place.
8. Retention
We only keep personal data as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Business correspondence relevant for accounting is kept for ten years in accordance with Art. 958f OR. The data is deleted or anonymised afterwards.
9. Data security
The website is delivered exclusively encrypted via HTTPS. Access to servers and mailboxes is limited to the responsible persons and protected with strong authentication. We review our technical and organisational measures regularly.
10. Your rights
- Access: You can request information on whether and which personal data we process about you (Art. 25 DSG, Art. 15 DSGVO).
- Rectification: You can have incorrect or incomplete personal data corrected or completed (Art. 32 DSG, Art. 16 DSGVO).
- Erasure: You can request the erasure of your personal data unless a statutory retention obligation prevents it (Art. 32 DSG, Art. 17 DSGVO).
- Restriction: Under the statutory conditions you can request a restriction of processing (Art. 18 DSGVO).
- Data release and portability: Data you have provided to us is made available on request in a common electronic format (Art. 28 DSG, Art. 20 DSGVO).
- Objection and withdrawal: You can object to processing and withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 30 DSG, Art. 7 and 21 DSGVO).
To exercise your rights, write to kontakt@taxaiag.swiss or to the postal address in section 2. We must be able to verify your identity and usually reply within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland with the Eidgenössischer Datenschutz- und Öffentlichkeitsbeauftragter (EDÖB), in the EEA with the data protection authority responsible for you.
11. Minors
Our offering is aimed at companies and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 16 years of age.
12. Changes
We adapt this privacy policy when our data processing or the legal situation changes. The version published on this page at the time applies. The date of the last change is shown at the top of the page.
13. Contact
We answer questions about data protection at kontakt@taxaiag.swiss. Please report security vulnerabilities to kontakt@taxaiag.swiss (see Legal).
