Ask questions, upload documents, have opinions and objections drafted – just like a general AI chat, but specialised in tax law. Nyteca® Chat works solely on a verified legal knowledge space and gives every statement its citation and as-of date.

The tax office disallowed CHF 4,800 of continuing-education costs. Can we challenge that?

Reading the notice and checking statute, practice and case law …

Yes. Job-related continuing-education costs are deductible, and the disallowance can be challenged with an objection.

  • Deadline: 30 days from notification. If the notice was served on 2 September, it ends on 2 October.
  • File the objection in writing with the assessment authority, enclosing the course certificate and proof of payment.

What it does

An assistant for everyday work

Nyteca® Chat supports you with the work that would otherwise send you to a handbook, a template folder or a colleague.

Answer tax questions

From the quick question in between to the delimitation where the paragraph and the letter matter – inter-cantonal and cross-border. With a citation rather than a hunch.

Upload documents

Drop an assessment notice, a contract or annual accounts into the chat: Nyteca® Chat reads along, checks the figures and refers to the document in its answer.

Draft opinions

Describe the facts, ask the question, get a structured opinion: facts, legal appraisal, conclusion, citations. A draft to work from.

Prepare objections

From the assessment straight to the objection: request, grounds and enclosures, with a note on when the deadline runs out. You review, sign and file.

Analyse options

Weigh structures against each other, check elections and deadlines, work through the consequences – broken down so you can follow it.

Ready right away

No setup, no master data: open the chat, ask the question. Every chat stands on its own – ideal alongside your daily work.

Two levels

As thorough as the question demands

Not every question needs an opinion. You choose the level for each chat – it decides how deeply Nyteca® Chat checks, how many sources it draws on and how detailed the answer is.

  1. Level 1

    Associate

    Quick and direct

Clear, short answers for day-to-day work – with the relevant citation and no detours.

    Best for

    • Deadlines and formalities
    • Deductions, rates and flat allowances
    • Quick questions in between
  2. Level 2

    Advisor

    Sound and thorough

Examines statute, administrative practice and case law in full, weighs the arguments, works out the counter-arguments and sets out the options – up to the fully reasoned opinion.

    Best for

    • Objections and contentious cases
    • Short and detailed opinions
    • Complex and cross-border matters
How it works

How an answer is built

  1. 01

    Question, documents, level

You describe the question, attach documents if needed and choose the level. Tax period, canton and jurisdiction belong to it – without that frame, any tax answer is arbitrary.

  2. 02

    Search in the knowledge space

The search runs only in the verified legal knowledge space — in the version in force at the as-of date, not today’s.

  3. 03

    Answer with evidence

Every statement carries its citation. What cannot be evidenced is not asserted but flagged as open.

  4. 04

    Your review

The answer is a draft for a professional. You check it, add to it and stand behind it — the chat saves you the looking up, not the decision.

Difference

Why not just a general AI chat?

Because broad knowledge and deep knowledge are two different things. The comparison is with the category of general assistants, not with any particular provider.

Questions from an ordinary Tuesday

Not textbook cases, but what actually comes in.

  • By when can an objection to an assessment notice be filed, and what suspends the deadline?

  • How is a company car with private use valued in 2026?

  • Which receipts are needed to deduct the continuing-education costs of a self-employed person?

  • Review the attached assessment: why were the property maintenance costs cut?

  • When does dealing in real estate count as a trade rather than private asset management?

  • Draft a short opinion: can the restructuring be carried out tax-neutrally?

Who it is for

Built for people who carry the responsibility

Accounting and tax firms
For everyone on the team who has to answer questions daily — and for whom it matters whether an answer is evidenced or merely sounds plausible.
In-house tax teams
For departments that need a quick first assessment before instructing outside advisers.
Law firms
For the tax questions at the edge of a mandate that otherwise get passed between practice areas.
Chat and app

The same AI, two ways of working

Nyteca® Chat is already live in Switzerland, and the Nyteca® App follows from mid-November 2026. Both draw on the same legal knowledge space and the same AI functions – the difference lies in how you work with them.

Now live in Switzerland

Nyteca® Chat: One chat at a time

  • Every chat stands on its own: ask, attach documents, take the result with you
  • Ready right away, with no setup and no master data
  • Tax questions, opinions, objections and analyses at two levels
  • The assistant alongside your daily work
From mid-November 2026

Nyteca® App: The whole firm system

  • The same AI functions, built into clients, cases and deadlines
  • Client onboarding, KYC, quotes, documents and communication in one application
  • From mid-November 2026 in the browser and as a desktop app for Windows and macOS, on mobile from January 2027
  • For firms that want to run all their workflows in one system

What it is not

In tax law, a tool that does not name its limits is dangerous. So, explicitly:

  • Not legal or tax advice. The professional responsibility stays with you.
  • Not a substitute for examining the individual case. The chat knows the law, not your client.
  • No answer without evidence. Where the knowledge space holds nothing, it says so — and invents nothing.
  • Opinions and objections are drafts. Reviewing, signing and filing them is up to you.
